Cultivation Mode 2012-01-20

Each master student will be responsible by their tutors. The students will determine their tutors in the first semester, and complete the thesis under the guidance of their tutor.

● Basic curriculum
Chinese History and Culture
 
● Degree curriculum
Students could choose the basis courses according to their study field. All the curriculums are being taught in English as shown in the Table 1. The students with good communication as well as understanding of Chinese could also take part in the common master curriculum with the Chinese students which are in Chinese.
Credits: 34 credits in total，in which 6 are for thesis.
 
● The dissertation
After the completion of basic curriculum, students are supposed to deliver a proposal presenting their planning for the thesis. The tutors will make sure their topics are reasonable and feasible or not. The research work should be no less than half a year. The dissertation should write in Chinese or English attached with a 1000-3000 words Chinese summary, which including 40-60 pages. The dissertation should demonstrate the ability of the students in scientific research or solving practical problems by using basic theory and professional knowledge.
 
● Graduation requirements
Students are supposed to completes the basic and degree curriculum with qualified grade. After submit the thesis they have to take the defense. Only after they pass their defense and being assessed by the degree committee can the students attained the master ’s degree. If the students are failed in the defense could apply to defense again as the related regulation of Degree Committee. If the students who has completed the credits but failed to graduate in the extension period, they could still apply for the completion as scholar students.
